Kaj Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cenarius: Hi 1GR3,

Unfortunately there's been some continuing issues with this cache and there is no reaction from the owner. Since the cache no longer meets the Guidelines requirements, I am archiving it. I'm also archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

If you think you have legitimate reasons for lack of maintenance and want to restore the cache in the near future, please let me know as soon as possible by the email provided in my profile. The message must include the GC code and the name of the cache. If the cache meets the requirements of the Guidelines and the reasons for unarchiving are justified, I may unarchive the cache.

IMPORTANT:
In case of permanent archiving of the cache, the owners are obliged to remove everything that they have placed on the field in relation to the cache (container and all placed waypoints).

Thank you for your understanding and best regards.

Geocache Description:

Kajkavian Language Statue

/

Skulptura Kajkavskog Jezika

The statue is currently under maintenance it will probably be relocated. In the meantime, feel free to log if you find the stone pole!

Kajkavian is central European and Slavic language used for over thousand years. It is more similar to modern Slovenian than to the modern Croatian Language. Its phonetic and grammatical structure makes it similar to modern Slovakian and its large use of hypocoristics reminds of Russian. Kajkavian language and culture have preserved Proto-Slavic elements which are missing from other languages so it makes it important not only for Croatian culture diversity but the European as well and maybe even wider.

Kajkavian Literary Language is internationally recognized in 2015. Its language ISO 639-3 code is kjv and there is a lot of books written in it from the 16th to the 19th century in National Libraries of Central Europe. This statue is initiated by the group of local citizens and made by the artist Željko Prstec.
