poosu: Checked on this one today and it is missing. GZ is, in fact, still intact, but it is literally inches from construction work so I'm not going to replace it. It has lasted a surprising 5 years and it's siblings, Doomed 2 and 3, just south on the road, show no signs of danger.

Geocache Description:

Along what was the nicest, newest road in Volusia County.

Those of us who live in this area have been waiting for this road to open for decades. Last April it was finally opened and it was a beautiful modern country road. However that's not the plan. Supposedly 3000 homes will eventually be build along side this road. As you drive by you can see the future turn offs marked by traffic barriers. One of the sites is under development already. The question is when will this barrier be removed? Will it ever be removed? Is this cache doomed? Only time will tell.
