Geocache Description:

This abandoned palace is located in bushland  at the Southern end of the Plenty Gorge Park. Kangaroos, echidnas and many kinds of birds can often be seen on the way to this cache. It is a Mecca for BMX bike riders with numerous trails criss-crossing the area. Other caches are nearby which will enhance your geocaching experience in this area.

Convenient access to this part of the park can be obtained from  Queens Gdns, Bundoora or Goolgung Grv, Greensborough.

.

This "Palace" reminds me so much of growing up in Ferntree Gully in the 1950s when we kids built huts in the bush.

While in the area take the time to appreciate the native eucalypt forest and understory with all it flora and fauna. See the sights and sounds of Plenty Gorge Park at -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Z2bpVTmSfs

The cache is a good  sized plastic screw top container with room for swaps and TBs
