Inveraray Castle Cache
Geocache originally placed by FlyFishermanBob in 2002.
Now when I collected the remains of the old cache, deep dark nefarious thoughts began to form, and before I could resist , the deed was all but done .
Welllll I always wanted to go there but didn’t have an excuse .
Don’t be put off by the appearance , its much easier than it appears. I did it with a 3 year old who thought it was Childs play. (Spaniels are like that)
From the castle car park, over the bridge and at the start of the wood look for post with blue marker , through the wood and at the far side you will come to a clearing ….
At the far side of the clearing, you can see a gate ahead of you ….ignore it….
The gate you want is to the right , in the general direction of the GPS. Through the gate, and follow the road till it runs out …..post has blue marker…..ps boots are advisable .
Here you leave the road by the path on the left hand side…. It improves as you get further up ….honest !
Cache is so close to the top that you couldn’t resist the last 20 feet or so to take in the pulchritudinous 360° view over the rolling mountains. Perhaps the FTF will take a camera.

Picture frame ; Baseball glove ;Parker Pen; Travel Bug; Simba soft toy; CD by Davieradios’ son; Guinness beer mats ( even better if your name is Bob)
