A pleasant 2 mile linear walk near Wimpole which should take around an hour set in time for Halloween 2017 with 6 novelty containers to find.
The walk is set along a footpath with nice views.
Please ensure the caches are returned to their hiding places in the state you found them for the enjoyment of others who follow you.
The terrain rating is based on completing the series as a whole.
"Seven caches left and still nine of us, two aren't getting an FTF tonight!" Wayne chanted as they approached an odd footpath/bridleway sign seemingly in the middle of nowhere. One arrow pointing down the track they had just come from and the other arrow pointing to the left where they were heading.
"Well, that's a really odd sign to be stood there in the middle of nowhere ain't it lads and lasses?" stated Ross in a questioning accent. Before anyone could say anything the signpost fell over and hit Ross square on the bonce. He didn't stand a chance. But Ruth did, she was soon at the base of the post digging out a 30ml tube from the detritus and scribbling her name on the 'logbook' (whatever that is!!!).
Kirsty looked at Wayne with a look that suggested that the enormity of events unfolding before them were just beginning to dawn on her.
"Quick" she said "Let's get going before anything else gets in the way of my FTF for the month."
And off the 8 friends trotted heading up the track into the dark towards the thousands of pairs or red eyes watching from the treeline.
Wayne was motoring up the track now in the hope of FTF'ing the next spot.
He was a few tens of yards ahead when a beeping started from the small plastic box he was holding in his hands. He slowed down and stood looking into the darkness to the side of the track.
The other 7 friends soon caught up and stood beside Wayne all looking at glowing screens in front of them.
"A ditch hide" they all exclaimed in tandem. "Got to be yours Wayne" Kirsty declared and gave him a gentle nudge.
Wayne took a step forward towards the ditch and the faintly glowing white pillar on the other-side of it. Unbeknownst to him there was a slab of concrete hidden in the grass and he tripped over it. A seemingly supernatural force took over and he appeared to fly over the ditch before cracking his nut on the big white concrete block.
Again, Ruth was soon holding up a small plastic tube like a prize! "Euhh" she exclaimed "It's got blood all over it!" this didn't put her off though, she wiped it off on Wayne's collar and soon 'had the signing done'.
It wasn't long before everyone noticed something and turned to see Kirsty gently rocking back and forth. "Who will take me out FTF'ing at 2am now?" she cried.
"Snap out of it!" Jackie commanded in an uncharacteristically uncaring fashion "There's still some to be had tonight!"
Snapping out of it as commanded Kirsty feeling an odd sense of elation combined with loss got to her feet and headed the troop ever onwards.
As she walked there was this inkling that something was wrong but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
