Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Oak Ridges "Challenge" Trail. This section of the Oak Ridge Trail (ORT) has a series of challenge caches covering a 3 km section from Lakeridge Rd (Durham 23) to Ashburn Rd and will take hikers through a lovely section of wooded forest, past wetlands and open meadow that make up the Oak Ridges Moraine.

The cache is at the posted coordinates.

Many people like to talk about the "good old days", and geocachers are no exception. In order to qualify for this challenge you will need to see for yourself how great caching used to be, by finding at least 15 caches in Ontario that were published in 2001 or 2002. At the time of this listing, there are more than 15 active qualifying caches within about 50km of this cache, and more than 200 throughout the province, so there are plenty of opportunities to meet the challenge and have fun doing so.

You can confirm that you have qualified using this ProjectGC checker:

PGC Checker

Logging rules:

1. All past finds count and qualifying caches can be found anywhere in Ontario.

2. You are welcome to find this cache and post a note if you do not qualify yet, and update your long once you qualify.

3. Found logs that do not qualify for this challenge will be deleted.
