'Bishy Beach' is a gravel beach that lays alongside the River Itchen. The beach is accessible for most of the year, bar when there has been unusual periods of heavier rain. In the summer, children can be found here, playing in the rivers edge. For the Meet, you could bring your swimming costume, but in all honesty, I don't think you will need it!
Parking is available in the road alongside the meeting point - I don't anticipate a large turn out so there should be plenty of space for those who wish to join the now annual event :-)
There are no facilities here at all (there is one bench!), but you can access the area with prams, etc.
As the meet is adjacent to the river, care will need to be taken if you bring along children or other animals whom may have a liking for 'diving in'
