In 1804 Mr Patrick Ballantine had a mansion house built commanding views of the Ayr coastline and the Isle of Arran. In 1810 the estate passed to his brother John. Castlehill Estate remained in the Ballantine family until 1909. In the 1960's the house was demolished. Ayrshire and Arran Health Board sold the lands to Kyle and Carrick Council in the early 1990's and they have been open to the general public ever since.
Welcome to Minnie's Bluebells :) Minnie's Bluebells will take you to this Estate, which now has a play park, many winding paths through beech and sycamore, grey squirrels, and a bat frenzy come dark! Cache is a little larger than the usual, please replace camo, thanks! Congratulations Ayrbrain and Hotmale02 on First to Find! 🎉
