Far Away Keoma Traditional Cache

We figured it was time for Keoma to have its own geocache.

Keoma was established in 1910. According to our Alberta Town Names book, and the Rocky View website, Keoma is a Native American word for "far away." It's only 25 KM from Airdrie and 35 KM from Calgary's town centre, but it really does have a "middle of nowhere" type feeling as you drive through the town.
 

Apparently, it is also the name of a 1976 Spaghetti Western film. Who knew?

In any case, it's a pleasant drive out here, and to the East are plenty of wetlands and ponds/small lakes.
