2017 WSGA Puget Sound Holiday Party
At the Greater Maple Valley Community Club, just off of highway 18.
Come celebrate the holidays one last time for the season with your old geocaching friends and maybe even meet some new ones too. This event is open to any and all cachers.

There will be a Chinese Auction, 2 prize drawings at this event, plus the gift exchange.
As always there will be an area for trackable trading, and the potluck!
Theme: This years theme will be the Chinese New Year! We'll have the hall decked so out feel free to theme your potluck dish, if you like you could even dress the part. In addition to all of the other activities you'd expect to have at the annual Holiday party, we are going to hold a Chinese Auction, details are below. Back by popular demand again this year we will have a new trivia game for all to play!
Schedule:
Before 3PM come early and go caching there are lots in the area!
3:00PM - 7:00PM Potluck / Dinner, followed by General Announcements, WSGA members drawing, early bird drawing, and gift exchange.
After event - Your assistance cleaning up is always appreciated. This year we have the hall until midnight so we can stay and socialize just as long as you all want, and it's a Saturday night so feel free to stay a while!
If you go caching before the event and the dish you are bringing for the potluck is a crock pot or needs to be refrigerated feel free to drop it off at the hall anytime after 1PM.
Trivia Game: Back by popular demand again this year we will have an all new trivia game for all to play, with a prizes for the winning table.
* NEW activity this year * Chinese Auction : What is a Chinese Auction you may ask? The difference between a raffle and a Chinese auction is this. In a raffle, there is one hat and the winners pick from multiple prizes once their number is called. In a Chinese auction there are just a few prizes, but each prize gets it's own hat. For our Chinese auction each person will get one ticket that they can drop into one hat at the welcome table when they come in. You will also be able to purchase additional tickets for a nominal fee. Profits, if there are any will be held for the Puget Sound Chapter, which we will use to help fund our events in 2018.
Gift Exchange: Instead of a raffle we'll be doing the traditional gift exchange, here's how it works. Bring one wrapped gift (worth about $10) to exchange for each person that would like to receive one. Gifts that fit the geocaching lifestyle are the most appreciated. To expedite the gift exchange, we'll have a drawing for the gifts and keep what we get. If you want to trade with someone afterward, you're on your own.
The Early Bird Drawing: Post your will attend before midnight on January 13th and your name will be entered into the drawing for the early bird prize. Please note the number of folks you will be bringing in your log, that will determine the number of entries you will receive for this drawing.
The WSGA Members Drawing: Bring your current 2017, or 2018 WSGA badge to the event; show it at the welcome table to be entered into a drawing for an extra special gift as a thank you for supporting WSGA, if you haven't renewed for 2018 you will be able to at the event. If you're not a WSGA member we encourage you to support club sponsored events like this by signing up online or in person at a WSGA event. Please note that you must have your 2017 or 2018 badge with you or you must sign up at this event in order to be in this drawing.
We will have club information and you can sign up or renew your WSGA membership at this event.
WSGA signups and renewals are done electronically now, preferred payment is credit or debit card. If you are renewing your WSGA membership you will need your password for the WSGA website. You can sign up online anytime or reset your password from our website www.wsgaonline.org
