Puzzle Solving Workshop @ Toronto Public Library Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

yellow.warbler: Thanks again to everyone for coming out and to all the volunteers who made this event a success! There have been MANY requests to hold another one of these in the near future - if anyone is interested, by all means, go for it! I have created a short Survey if anyone wants to share their experiences of what made the event successful or what could be done to make future events even better. Once I have the results I'll post them here, so any other would-be hosts can learn more about the ingredients to hosting a successful puzzle event in the future! If any would-be hosts want to hold it at the Toronto Public Library, please contact BookNutz and she'd be more than happy to help. Survey link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Q38YF6Y

Geocache Description:

Saturday, January 13, 2018
1:00pm to 3:30pm

Location: Danforth/Coxwell Library

Tired of seeing those blue question marks cluttering up your geocaching map? Want to turn them into Smileys instead?

This afternoon is designed to be a semi-formal gathering of targeted-puzzle-solving.

Bring paper & pencils, laptops (HIGHLY recommended), and snacks to share! (Some puzzles cannot be solved without the use of a laptop - phone just won't cut it!)

There will be 6 tables and each one will be dedicated to one of the puzzles listed below. You can have a seat at the table for the puzzle you're most interested in solving, and/or move around as you like. Each puzzle will have a designated volunteer who has solved that puzzle before (or is the owner), and they will periodically stop by your table to give tiny hints and nudges as necessary. (Note: Puzzle-solving is not a requirement to log this Event as "Attended". Simply dropping by and saying hi is enough!) This is your chance to make some new geocaching friends and do some hands-on work with solving puzzles.

The following puzzles have been "donated" by various local Cache Owners who have given their blessing to have these puzzles worked on at our Event.

Trip Down Memory Lane: New Zealand (3.5/1.5) (Lead/owner: yellow.warbler)

Earlscourt Park Puzzle(3/1.5) (Lead/owner: oceanwaves22)
