Geocache Description:

Cashe and Dash. You are looking for a bison film container in a como bag. Please leave at a height accessible to all ages and abilities. Number for series. watch out for muggles. Not many people know this, but during the last Ice Age the ice cap had its very southernmost tip at Wrinehill. We do know there was a settlement in Betley in Saxon times, well over 1,000 years ago.

In 1851 there were eight inns in Betley and Wrinehill : the Blue Bell and the Crown at Wrinehill, the Hand and Trumpet, the Black Horse, The Swan, The Red Lion, The Lord Nelson and the Three Anchors.Life in those days was harsh, and most inns had a dual purpose, either as farmhouses or places where in addition to selling ale some other industry or business was carried on. Wrinehill has two "Listed buildings" First, the early 16th century half-timbered Old Medicine House, which, when threatened with imminent demolition, was bought for £1, dismantled and rebuilt in 1971 at Blackden Heath. Second, it is still home to the Wrinehill Summer House, a grade 2 Listed building , formerly owned by the Earl_of_Wilton.
