How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Prepare yourself for an awesome view
Of mountains red and water blue.
Tiny boats make wakes of white.
Take a camera for this beautiful site!
Tables are available for a picnic lunch;
Bring food along for a tasty munch.
Hiking trails can be found
All around or up and down.
Or bring a mountain bike,
If that's the transport that you like.
We saw moose and deer and hawks,
Hummingbirds virtually in flocks.
Camping spots abound along the way
If you decide you want to stay.
Within a 30-mile radius are
For your delight (if you have a car),
Several caches from which to choose.
Don't forget to bring the clues.

Now to prove that you were there,
Answer these questions, if you dare.
Stand at the plaque on this notable day.
How many photos are on display?
The second one from the top on the right:
What is it of? A graceful sight.
You know the answers; no need to guess.
it isn't fair
To tell the answers to those not there.

A National Parks fee may apply - $2.00 for a day pass or $5.00 for up to 16 days if you plan to camp. Outline your plans at the Ranger Station at Manila or Vernal and they can advise you if you need to pay. The fee paid at Manila stays right there locally for funding of the very park you will visit. The experience is well worth the nominal charge! In the interest of accurate statistics, we will no longer leave notes here acknowledging correct answers e-mailed to us. If your answers are correct, your log will stand.
