I am trying to get as many volunteers as possible so there is a chance of some muggles joining us, but the more the merrier.
Litter pickers / gloves and binbags will all be provided courtesy of Sunderland Council. If you have your own gloves or picker then please bring them.
There are a couple of lovely cafes nearby and a chippy, so plenty places for a warm drink and some geochat afterwards. There is also some public toilets nearby.
Unfortunately, due to the time of year, bikini's and flip-flops may not be suitable so please come along dressed for the weather with warm / waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear.
There are 2 large car parks at the beach, sadly these have recently been made pay and display at 70p per hour, but please dont let that put you off.
Plastic and rubblish in the oceans is a worldwide problem that is getting increasingly worse. This small beach clean is just a drop in the ocean in the work that needs to be done to help save our sealife. Please come along and help make a difference.
