Just before Christmas, I went for a walk on a crisp, quiet morning. Fresh snow had fallen the night before, blanketing everything in white. The sky overhead was a clear, bright blue. The wind was calm, and the freshly fallen snow sparkled like a profusion of diamonds. The only sound was the squeak and crunch of snow underfoot.
And speaking of feet, I wasn't the first being to be out on this magical morning. Everywhere I looked I could see evidence of Calgary's critters. You name an animal, and I saw its prints. Mice and squirrels, rabbits and coyotes, magpies and grouse, deer and elk, humans and dogs, and even some prints that left me scratching my head; they had all been out enjoying the snow. Some stayed with the trail faithfully, others used it when it suited them, and for the rest it was merely a step or two across on some journey from here to there.
Which gave me an idea...
After gathering what I needed from a nearby collection of tracks, I headed over to the spot that they indicated. Finding it to be a suitable location, I deposited a cryptex in a little hiding spot (of course I had a cryptex in my pocket; doesn't everyone?) and hurried home to create this puzzle cache just in time for Christmas.
Determine what you need to know about the tracks and solve for the unknown digits in these coordinates:
