#5 Villa Bertoldi
Composto di edificio padronale, rustici e cappella dedicata a Sant’Antonio da Padova, il complesso di Villa Bertoldi fu costruito nel corso del XVII secolo. La villa si distingue negli interni per alcuni particolari di pregio: quattro dipinti di Andrea Porta a soggetto paesaggistico, uno scalone in tufo e un camino con stipiti scolpiti a busto di fauno. Di notevole interesse, la biblioteca Bertoldi conserva volumi rari del Seicento e del Settecento, tra cui una preziosa Bibbia in 36 tomi del 1781.
La cappella fu pavimentata e decorata nel 1832, come testimonia una lapide posta al suo interno. Di fronte ad essa, su uno spiazzo semicircolare, si trova un’edicola con la statua dell’Addolorata.
Sul lato della proprietà che confina con la strada principale di Settimo sono stati scoperti i resti di murature di epoca romana. Rimangono inoltre alcune tracce dell’impianto idrovoro con cui era irrigato il brolo fino ad una cinquantina di anni fa.
Attualmente Villa Bertoldi è sede di un’associazione culturale ed ospita concerti ed eventi di interesse artistico.

#5 Villa Bertoldi
Composed of the owner’s residence, farm buildings and chapel dedicated to Sant’Antonio of Padova, Villa Bertoldi was built during the XVII century. The villa is of particular interest inside due to a few valuable details: four landscape paintings by Andrea Porta, a grand staircase in tufa and a fireplace with side posts sculpted in the shape of fauns’ busts. Of considerable interest is the Bertoldi library, which houses rare volumes of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, among which a precious Bible in 36 tomes dated 1781.
The chapel floor was laid and the whole building decorated in 1832, as a memorial stone inside the church states. Opposite, in a semi-circular opening, there is a shrine with a statue of Our Lady of Sorrows. On the side of the property that runs along the main road of Settimo some remains of Roman walls have been discovered.
There are also traces of the water pump installation by which the vegetable garden was irrigated up to about fifty years ago. Today Villa Bertoldi is the seat of a cultural association and hosts concerts and other artistic events.
