Royal Park is the largest of Melbourne’s parks, covering 170 hectares, and its wide open stretches of open grass alternate with areas of lightly timbered eucalypt forest, home to possums and a huge variety of birdlife, including rosellas, wrens, robins and birds of prey. You can also choose your sport, and you'll find the facilities, whether tennis, golf, football, baseball, cricket, netball, hockey, cycling or walking.
This geocache will take you into the lesser visited section of Royal Park where you can stroll around in amongst the trees and on paths, made and unmade until you decide that the time is ripe to find this geocache.
At this location you are standing under a glorious fig tree which looks like it has been here for many years as the size of both the tree and the roots are a sight to behold. During summer when the fruit ripens you may find the odour a little overwhelming but at the same time you may appreciate hunting for a geocache in the shade. You do not need to be anywhere near the tram tracks which run through this part of the park.
You are looking for a 400ml sistema container hidden in a logical place at ground zero.
