Geocachers Anonymous, Step II Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Earl B. Fisk: Alas . . . .

We all knew this area was going to be repurposed sooner or later for most likely nefarious reasons.

And so it has. The cache is gone, and will never come back.

Geocache Description:

Way, way back in July of 2007, I stood at this exact spot and found my first cache.

This was my log: "Thank goodness for the easiest cache in Tuscaloosa. Just started geocaching yesterday. This was the first one I found. Found it with my daughter S."

The cache was called Geocachers Anonymous, and it was placed by a cacher named rwdates in April of 2006. It was a thrilling experience that I will never forget. While it was active, it had 417 finds and 21 DNFs. Well, time passes, and I guess rwdates stopped caching, and the cache was finally archived 11 years and 4 days after it had been placed.

Perhaps this new cache will be some new cacher's first find. Maybe not, but it will be here unitl I retire from the game as well - maybe 11 years and 4 days from now.

Good luck - you're looking for a smallish magnitized opject with very little room for anything but the log (so bring your own writing device).
