Prepare to explore the solar system! In a walk of about 1.6 miles (2.5 kilometers) visit the sun and all 8 planets in the solar system we all call home.
Start at the 30″ sun just to the north of the round about. The planets are located at the scaled distance of their average orbits from the sun as if they were laid out in a straight line. The first 6 planets can be found on the east side of State Street as you head north and the remaining planets are on the west side after you cross at the York Street cross walk.
At each planet you will find a marker that looks like this:
Occasionally one of the markers may be missing; this will not affect your journey.
