Beautiful Peach Cove is located within Bream Head Scenic Reserve at Whangarei Heads. It is a lovely bay surrounded by native bush and plenty of birdlife.
Peach Cove can be accessed in one of 4 ways:
-
Walk from Peach Cove car park (Peach Cove Track, 1 hr one way per DOC)
-
Walk from Urquharts Bay car park (via the Te Whara Track, 3 hours one way per DOC)
-
Walk from Ocean Beach car park (via the Te Whara Track, 3 hours one way per DOC)
-
Or take a boat. (The walking options all require climbing over 800 steps back out of Peach Cove!)
So allow a bit of time for your trip to Peach Cove and take some food and water.
There is also a DOC hut located at Peach Cove, if you feel like staying overnight.

There is a logbook marked for geocaching, which geocachers should sign.
