What is Festivus you ask? The show Seinfeld gave us Festivus. Festivus is both a parody and a secular holiday celebrated on December 23 that serves as an alternative to participating in the pressures and commercialism of the Christmas season. It has been described as "the perfect secular theme for an all-inclusive December gathering" There may be a Festivus pole, a Festivus dinner followed by the Airing of Grievances, Feats of Strength, and possibly a Festivus miracle.
We will celebrate the ficticious holiday of Festivus on December 23rd by meeting at Couch Brewing from 12:00 to 2:00p.m. on Saturday, December 23rd for some food and beverages. Couch Brewing is a new brewery to Pittsburgh that has a 1970’s feel to it and the brews are named after things found in a 70’s living room. Kids will be welcome. Each cacher will be responsible for their own bill. Hope to see you there!
