Every year, the city of Oak Forest puts out small holiday trees for residents to adopt and decorate. Last years event was such a huge success Scubasteev and I dedcided to do it again! Join us on Sunday, November 26th at the posted coordinates at 2 p.m. The decorating shouldn't take more than half an hour, so we'll do a group photo around our tree at 2:30pm.
I will have some decorations to hang on the tree, but we're hoping everyone will make or bring something geocaching themed to contribuite!
All decorations must be:
- weather resistant (so if you're making a paper ornament, please laminate it first)
- securely fastned to the trees (we'll have various sizes of zip ties)
- unbreakable (no glass ornaments)
Do you need help with ideas? How about making an ornament with your favorite GC code on it! A sharpie and a dollar store ornament can go a long way! Bring a laminated picture of one of your geocaching adventures! Draw, color, print or cut out a picture of your favorite TOTT and laminate it! How about turning some of your leftover cache swag into ornaments! The sky is the limit! Nail polish works great in place of paint! Feel free to contact me if you need ideas!
All ages and geocaching levels welcome, feel free to bring a muggle too! Please dress appropriately for the weather, this event is outdoors and will go on, rain or shine!
