About the cache

This is a smart gadget cache and will require a 9V battery to open. No other special equipment is needed.

The lock combination is: 2212

Inside you will see a copper wire. If the wand (attached to the coiled black wire) if not already there, move it to the red starting point of the copper wire (your left).

1) Insert the battery. The three lights should blink on for about a second and then turn off. The door LED will also turn red. The game is now ready to play.

2) Touch the wand to the top of the red bolt to the right of the copper wire. This should turn on the green light below the wire. The green light must be on to "win"!

3) Now, here's the tough part. Hold the wand with a steady hand and move it along the copper wire—WITHOUT TOUCHING THE WIRE—until you reach the other (blue) side.

If you touch the copper wire, a buzzer will sound and the red center light will turn on. If this happens, bring the wand back to the beginning and touch the red bolt to reset the challenge. You can try again once the red light goes out and the green light comes back on.

4) Once you reach the other side of the copper wire with the green light still on, touch the wand to the top of the blue bolt. The blue light will turn on and the cache door will unlock! Congratulations!

This cache uses a micro-controller and custom circuitry. It is fairly sturdy, but PLEASE BE GENTLE! Look at the hint if you have problems.  please don't take out any frustration on the cache itself. With enough force, wires will bend and circuits will break.

If you would like more information on how I built this cache you can find a short article here . I would encourage viewing this after you have found the cache as not to spoil the experience. I welcome any questions you may have.

congratulations to tdftholm1975 & Quingdao for FTF
