Danville Park officially opened in September 2017. It was a joint venture of the GTAA and City of Mississauga. The Airport Authority contributed over $300,000 to incorporate a viewing location for aviation enthusiasts. Once you have parked, stroll along the paved path, past the toboggan hills as you gradually climb 25 metres above the surrounding area to the viewing platform. The design was named “Aviation History”, incorporating a sleek overhead airplane, a painted runway, information plaques, windsock and free viewfinders. For the hard core fan, we suggest the Flightradar24 and LiveATC mobile apps to watch and listen to the passing aircraft.
The cache itself is a quick and easy grab steps away from the viewing station. Be very careful not to be seen as this park will become popular once the public hears about it.
Make sure you take the time to look around, on a clear day you can see several skylines in the 360.
