Another Lyon county cemetery cache!
The first post office in Lyon County, known as Allen, was established in 1854 and located 3-1/2 miles northeast of the present town of Allen.
The Allen Town Company purchased first a quarter section and later a second quarter section directly west.
When the Allen Town Company disbanded in 1895, it turned over the cemetery to the town of Allen.
