The Starter’s Gate Traditional Cache

Depending on your approach, the gate at the listed coordinates represents either the end or the start of a journey along a series of pipeline reserves running all the way from Maroondah Highway to the Monash Freeway.

If this is the end, then congratulations! Unfortunately, this cache has changed its name from “The Hunger Gate” as Hungry Jacks has been demolished - so you will need to find somewhere else to eat. If you look out East you will see the beckoning flickering of the giant video screen at Ringwood Town Square, with a selection of food offerings (and plenty of caches on the way there along the bike path). If however this is the start of your journey, then you’re off to wander to and fro, hunting for caches, challenges and frustrations.

But first you must find this cache. A micro with only space for a logbook, so bring your own pen.
