You will find yourself near the site of the old Ngawhatu Psychiatric Hospital, which operated from 1922 to 2000, but now it is a sparkly new housing development called Montebello Village. From this spot you can survey the situation and everything new that is sprouting up around you and marvel at the height of the clump of trees beside you.
It's easy to access the cache, but do look out for a few spikey plants in this neck of the woods - I wouldn't recommend doing this cache in jandals
