Tachymarptis melba

Description

A large swallow, brownish grey in colour with a white belly and throat. They are fast and very agile flyers.
Size: 20-22cm, Weight69-90 grams

Habitat

They occur over the whole of South Africa and Namibia. They are seasonal migratory birds.
They build nests of mud normally under structures like bridges, overhanging rocks etc.
