Akkedis ( Lizzard)



Trachilepis striata

A slender shiny lizzard with a sharp ending long tail. The body is blackish or brown with light line to the tail.

They are active during the day and loves trees and rocks. They prey on insects.

3 to 9 young are born in summer.

They are highly addaptable and are regularly found in built up areas.

Length: 16 to 20cm.
