The Shooting Stars are the Junior Girl Scouts of Troop 357. They placed this cache on a beautiful fall day that let them enjoy bright foliage reflected in the mirror-like lake of the Winkler Botanical Preserve, a jewel of the West End of Alexandria. They had a memorable encounter with a family of incredibly tame deer, enjoyed clambering over rock, and following the path around the lake. But it’s a nice, easy hike any time of year!
This cache contains general trade items, but especially welcomes trade items tied to the more than century-long history of Girl Scouts in America! And be sure to let us know if you are or ever were a Girl Scout!
