The most likely access to this cache is off the Scots Bay Trail. The Scots Bay Trail crosses the trail to Little Split Cove within 5m of the "7km" sign on the Scots Bay trail. It's also possible to get here from the Minas Basin Trail (the original trail to Cape Split). That unmarked path starts at GC8VZ16 "A fork in the trail", and is overgrown.
The fastest route to the cache is to follow the path to the beach, but branch off eastwards when the path starts to follow a straight rocky stream bed with a rope. This will save you going down to the beach and climbing back up again. It's possible to come up from the beach - the rocks can be slippery and it's a bit of a climb. Coming from above could be muddy if it's a wet day. In any case, use your better judgement.
The point of this cache is to go to a nice spot and enjoy the view, not to look for a long time for something. So please see the pictures I have posted. You are looking for a wooden block about 1" by 1" by 2", with a logbook in a hole. It's attached to the tree on top of the outcrop, with a fishing line. It is resting on the ground.
A shout out to the now archived geocache, Relaxing on the Beach (Cape Split) (GCY4JN), which graced this beach for nearly a decade!
