This country road is 29 kilometres long, and now fully sealed. It provides an increasingly important route for locals between the 2 towns, but more importantly to travellers looking for alternative routes between Canberra and Bathurst or the Blue Mountains.
This road is fast becoming a favourite for motorcyclists and drivers, looking to spend a few hours travelling the Goulburn-Taralga-Crookwell loop, due to its sweeping curves, good road surface and pleasant country views.
Continuing this series, I couldn't go past this old mile peg. This one is in need of some maintenance or TLC, but its still good to see these old distance measurers that were commonplace prior to our country's conversion to metrics. There is another one further along this series, closer to Taralga, that is in excellent condition.
