Just for fun, regale me with the tale of your Geocaching name.
To start us off, I will tell you my tale. Long ago, I took up the game Age of Empires 2. It is a fun game of world conquest in which you choose a civilization, my favorite at that time was the Vikings, and build them up while defending against attacks. Years go by and operating systems advance, but the game does not. It became incompatible and I moved on...until. A new company updated the game and made it compatible again. This time, the game required an online login name. At that time, (carbon dating myself here) I had the very cool Motorola Razr phone and I still preferred the Vikings, so I decided to come up with a name befitting the Viking warrior culture. Looking at my phone, I tried Black Razor. Nope, taken. The Black Razor. Nope. The BlackRazor. taken. TheBlackRazor. Nope. Another look at the phone and an idea tickled my mind. It would not endear me to my elder sister. (my non-Geocaching sister, Jo - the teacher) It would involve intentionally misspelling a word. (gasp - a Word Crime! [cool song by Weird Al Yankovic, by the way]) So, I tried The Black Razr. Nope. Are you kidding me? TheBlackRazr? Nope. BlackRazr? Nope. Fine, taking the battle axe to the English language, (conqured the Britons many times in the game) I tried Blak Razr. Nope. The Blak Razr. Nope. TheBlakRazr. No. BlakRazr...Finally! Success! Fast forward a few more years and my other sister, the Geocacher - JCSugar, brought a puzzle cache she needed solving to me and I got hooked on geocaching. When I decided to conquer the Geocaching world, who else could I be? Blakrazr was unleashed on the Geocaching and it has not been the same since.
