Δώδεκα κρύπτες τύπου «traditional» και ένα Μπόνους βρίσκονται στην πορεία ανάμεσα στο χωριό του Κρούστα σε 520 μ. υψόμετρο και στο χωριό του Πύργου λίγο παραπάνω από το επίπεδο της θάλασσας.
Η πεζοπορία θέλει τρεις ώρες περπατήματος περίπου. Μαζί με το ψάξιμο των κρυπτών και με το διάλειμμα για το πικνίκ σας θα είναι μάλλον τέσσερις ώρες ή λίγο παραπάνω.
Προσοχή: ΔΕΝ ΕΙΝΑΙ ΚΥΚΛΙΚΗ ΠΕΖΟΠΟΡΙΑ!
Όμως, υπάρχουν λεωφορεία. Όλες τις ώρες αναχώρησης τις πήρα από το πρόγραμμα δρομολογίων του Απριλίου 2018. Πριν ξεκινήσετε κοιτάξτε τα σύγχρονα δρομολόγια είτε στο ίντερνετ ή στο σταθμό.
Με το λεωφορείο έχετε αυτές τις επιλογές:
ΤΟ ΠΡΩΙ
(Λεωφορεία όχι τις Κυριακές!)
Παρκάρετε το αυτοκίνητό σας κοντά στο Σταθμό ΚΤΕΛ του Άγιου Νικολάου και πηγαίνετε με το λεωφορείο στις 7:00 το πρωί στον Κρούστα. Ήδη στις επτάμισι θα ξεκινήσετε την πεζοπορία σας, όταν οι θερμοκρασίες είναι χαμηλότερες το καλοκαίρι.
Στο τέλος της πεζοπορίας θα πάτε στο Στάδιο Διαδρομής «Bus Stop Istron». Στις 11:00 και στις 13:00 πάνε από 'κει λεωφορεία στον Άγιο Νικόλαο. Μπορεί να έχουν λίγα λεπτά καθυστέρηση γιατί έρχονται από την Σητεία ή από την Ιεράπετρα.
ΤΟ ΑΠΟΥΕΥΜΑ
(Λεωφορεία όχι τα Σαββατοκύριακα!)
Το καλοκαίρι, όταν κάνει πολύ ζέστη το μεσημέρι και το απόγευμα, καλύτερα να πάτε το πρωί. Όμως, με άνετες θερμοκρασίες είναι και πολύ ωραία να πάτε το απόγευμα:
Αφήστε το αυτοκίνητό σας στο Σημείο Διαδρομής «Bus Stop Istron». Από 'δω θα πάτε με λεωφορείο στις 13:00 στον Άγιο Νικόλαο. Μπορεί να έχει κάποια λεπτά καθυστέρηση γιατί έρχεται από την Σητεία ή από την Ιεράπετρα.
Στον Άγιο Νικόλαο έχετε ακόμα καιρό για ένα καφέ μέχρι θα ανεβείτε στις 14:30 στο λεωφορείο για τον Κρούστα. Στις 15:00 περίπου θα είστε στον Κρούστα για να ξεκινήσετε την πεζοπορία σας. Στο τέλος της πεζοπορίας, στον Ίστρο θα ξαναβρείτε το αμάξι σας.
(Βεβαίως έχετε και την επιλογή να παρκάρετε το αυτοκίνητό σας κοντά στο σταθμό του ΚΤΕΛ στον Άγιο Νικόλαο για να πάρετε το λεωφορείο στις 14:30 για τον Κρούστα. Στο τέλος της πεζοπορίας σας θα γυρίσετε στον Άγιο Νικόλαο με λεωφορείο από τον Ίστρο στις 18:45 ή στις 21:00.)
ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ: Δεν επιτρέπονται τα σκυλιά στα λεωφορεία.

Twelve tradi-geocaches are marking the hiking trail between the village of KROUSTAS at a height of 520 meters and the village of PYRGOS more or less on sea level.
The walking time will be about three hours. Including time for breaks and for searching cache-containers it will probably be about 4 hours.
Attention: NO CIRCULAR WALK!
Busses will bring you to the starting point. All times mentioned are from the time table of April 2018. Before leaving please inform yourself about available buses either in the internet or at the bus station in Agios Nikolaos.
Using the busses you will have two options:
Morning Hike
(Busses from Monday to Saturday)
Leave your car at the central bus-station in Agios Nikolaos and take the bus to Kroustas at 7:00 in the morning. You will start your hike in Kroustas already at half past seven with the comfortable temperatures of the morning.
You will have finished the trail before noon and at the end of the trail go to the waypoint „Bus Stop Istron“ to take the bus back to Agios Nikolaos at 11:00 or at 13:00. Maybe the bus will be late for some minutes because it comes from Sitia or Ierapetra.
Afternoon Hike
(Busses from Monday to Friday)
In summertime with really hot days the Morning Hike might be the better option. But with comfortable temperatures the Afternoon Hike is a great option as well:
Leave your car at the waypoint „Bus-Station Istron“. Take the bus at 13:00 to bring you to Agios Nikolaos. Maybe the bus will be late some minutes because it comes from Sitia or Ierapetra.
Time for a coffee in Agios Nikolaos until the bus for Kroustas starts at 14:30 at the Central Bus-Station. About 3 p.m. you will be in Kroustas to start hiking. At the end of the trail in Istron is waiting your car.
(For sure, you may leave your car as well at the bus-station in Agios Nikolaos to take the bus at 14:30 to Kroustas. Then, at the end of the hike, you take the bus from Istron to Agios Nikolaos at 18:45 or 21:00.)
ATTENTION: No dogs allowed in the buses.

Diese Wanderung mit 12 Geocaches und einem Bonus beginnt in dem Dorf KROUSTAS auf 520 Meter Höhe und endet in dem Dorf PYRGOS wenig über Meereshöhe.
Die Gehzeit beträgt etwa drei Stunden. Zusammen mit Dosensuche und Pausen werden es wohl gut vier Stunden werden.
Achtung: KEINE RUNDWANDERUNG!
Busse bringen Euch jedoch zum Ausgangspunkt. Die genannten Abfahrtszeiten sind dem Fahrplan vom April 2018 entnommen. Wer sicher gehen will, informiert sich über die aktuellen Zeiten im Internet oder am Busbahnhof in Agios Nikolaos.
Mit dem Bus gibt es folgende Alternativen:
Vormittags-Wanderung
(Busse von Montag bis Samstag)
Stellt Euer Auto am Busbahnhof in Agios Nikolaos ab und nehmt den Bus um 7:00 Uhr morgens hinauf nach Kroustas. So könnt Ihr schon morgens um halb acht mit der Wanderung beginnen, wenn es noch nicht so heiß ist.
Bereits gegen Mittag werdet Ihr am Ende der Wanderung angekommen sein. Geht zum Wegepunkt „Bus Stop Istron“ und nehmt den Bus zurück nach Agios Nikolaos um 11:00 Uhr oder um 13:00 Uhr. Der Bus kann sich ein paar Minuten verspäten, weil er aus Sitia oder Ierapetra kommt.
Nachmittags-Wanderung
(Busse von Montag bis Freitag)
Wenn es im Sommer nachmittags sehr heiß wird, ist wohl eher die Vormittags-Variante zu empfehlen. Doch bei angenehmen Temperaturen ist die Nachmittags-Variante eine schöne Alternative:
Bringt Euer Auto zum Wegepunkt „Bus Stop Istron“. Um 13:00 Uhr geht ab dort ein Bus nach Agios Nikolaos, der sich um ein paar Minuten verspäten kann, weil er aus Sitia oder Ierapetra kommt.
Bis um 14:30 Uhr am Busbahnhof von Agios Nikolaos der Bus nach Kroustas fährt, habt Ihr noch Zeit für einen Kaffee. Etwa um 15:00 Uhr steigt Ihr in Kroustas aus und startet Eure Wanderung. Am Ende der Wanderung wartet in Istron dann Euer Auto auf Euch.
(Alternativ könnt Ihr natürlich auch Euer Auto am Busbahnhof in Agios Nikolaos parken und mit dem Bus um 14:30 Uhr nach Kroustas fahren. Dann nehmt Ihr am Ende der Wanderung den Bus um 18:45 Uhr oder um 21:00 Uhr von Istron aus zurück nach Agios Nikolaos.)
HINWEIS: In den Bussen darf man keine Hunde mitnehmen.
