Don't feed the Squirrels
Driving up the Maligne Valley you can’t help but gaze at the tilted slabs of limestone that form the Colin and Queen Elizabeth Ranges, or find delight and amazement in the leaky bathtub called Medicine Lake. Not so easy to see are a series of large rockslides that carpet the valley floor - both Medicine and Maligne Lakes owe their existence to them.
To help you appreciate the immensity of one of the rockslides in the valley I suggest stopping at Bruce’s Picnic Area to find this cache and take a good look around. Now if only there was a way to get a better vantage point.
