Life's a Beach #72 - Hooken Beach
Welcome to Hooken Beach, a quiet but beautiful beach between Branscombe Mouth and Beer Head. It's more than likely that you'll be the only person making your way along the beach, so enjoy the peacefulness of the experience and the beautiful surroundings. This cache will take you through a Site of Special Scientific Interest, so please do not disturb any of the wildlife around you. The cache is not at the posted co-ordinates, but you are able to park there for a parking fee. Pick up clues at the various waypoints en route to locate the final cache at GZ. The loop from the recommended car park, to GZ and back to the car park is around 2 miles and should take between 60-90 minutes. The route is fairly strenuous with a lot of pebbly beach and a steep climb, hence the 4.5 terrain rating. It is not advised to do this cache at night due to the sections alongside the clifftops. Please supervise children and pets at all times. You do not have to cross the wire fence to retrieve the final cache.

Waypoint 6 - Stairs to bench. How many steps are there up to the bench on your left (walking up the steps)? Answer = F
Waypoint 7 - Public Footpath sign. How many miles is it to Hooken Cliffs? Answer = 1/G
Waypoint 8 - Gate. How many horizontal bars are on the swinging gate? Answer = H
