The path in the whole reserve with most badgers on both sides.
The blue path is accessible not too far from New Lanark, the nearby village that is definitely worth a visit. The path is not massively used by the public even though there are signs leading to it. It is mostly the locals who use it for walking their dogs or similar. However, on this side of the reserve it is one of the most active places when it comes to badger activity. Look out for paths that are thinner than those made by humans. These are definitely badger paths. Sometimes you can see their latrines. They will fill up a hole with poo before they dig a new one. Furthermore, they are used for marking their territory for other badgers. "Foreign" badgers can actually smell if the female badgers in this territory are ready to have children or if there is a strange illness going on. It is also possible to spot the sett entrances. Look for small terraces that have been dug out in front of a hole, which have been constructed from the earth within the sett. The bigger the terrace the bigger the sett. Please stay on the path so you don't disturb the animals. You can easily spot these things from the path if you're looking.
