A nice easy little walk to show you the new Rick Tollefson trail.
This cache is along the nice new Rick Tollefson trail and if you hike the whole new trail it is only about a quarter mile long, depending on where you start. Recommended parking is at the parking area in HJ Carroll park, and walk along the trail from the
Salmon shelter to the new trail head. If you walk a short ways past this cache you will come to Chimicum Creek and cross it on a new bridge, where we saw a spawning salmon on the day we hid it, and lots of chickens and even a few turkeys. It will lead you through a little farmland and part of the restoration area along Chimicum creek. Bring your own pen or pencil as the cache is very small.
