Captain Midnight is a sawed-off, surly Schipperke- a Belgian canal dog. Despite being a long way from his native Belgium, he has found room to romp and frolic along a nice stretch of the old Erie Canal. Lots of paths to walk, good fishing, bikers, picnickers, canoers, and dogs on leashes welcome. Nice museum as well covering the history of the Canal and the area..
Captain has placed his cache off of a path near (but not too near) two bridges. The ground is sometimes wet between path and cache, but seldom impassable. Being a cheeky little dog, he has stashed his ammo can full of some very good loot in the middle of an ugly mess of downed trees and rotting limbs. You may have to look close, Captain's can is under some branches, etc.
This makes for a nice double-header along with Clinton's Big Ol' Ditch Cache, as they are in the same park.
