This cache has been archived.

jessk09: The construction fence is gone and so is the cache. As well, there’s been some clearing and the area is more revealed now. I’m archiving the cache.

Geocache Description:

Easy grab-and-go cache on a beautiful trail, especially intended for (but not limited to) kids.

The Sammamish River Park/Trail is where my six-year-old son (the cache's namesake) and I frequently come for bike rides or walks. This section of trail is near where the Burke Gilman Trail, which starts in Ballard, joins the Sammamish River Trail that continues down through Marymoor Park with connections to Lake Sammamish. The trail is beautiful in all seasons and worth a visit.

We've been geocaching for a year now and this is our first cache to hide. The cache is an easy grab-and-go only a short distance from the parking lot in a plastic snap lock box. My son is hoping other kids will look for this one. The cache is not in a restoration area but there are several marked restoration areas around this section of the park; please respect these and do not walk in them. Please also watch out for muggles as this is a very popular area.

Update—as of Aug 2019 there is also a letterbox not far from the cache. This is marked as such and is not the cache. Keep looking!

Congrats to 2 leep as first to find!
