This is the 3rd Geocaching Event hosted by CopaCachers. We are bringing new caches to Maricopa, and since August 5th, we are happy to report several new caches in the area. We have a plan to identify and archive dead caches as well.
Come meet your fellow cachers at Firehouse Subs and discuss geocaching in Maricopa. As always, purchase of eats and drinks is optional. Also, welcome to our many Snowbird friends, who are fleeing snow and ice to cache in sunny, warm Arizona!
Maricopa has many caches, but sadly, few cache owners, as the former COs have either moved away or have become inactive. As a result, many Maricopa caches have entered their dotage, or are being interred in the great Archive in the Cloud. Let's reverse this trend and gather "Potential COs" to each place several caches in this town on the edge of the Valley. Anyone who calls Maricopa, Casa Grande, Ahwatukee, Tempe, Chandler, Mesa home, could probably place a few, under your own auspices, or under CopaCachers. Let Maricopa bloom this winter with new caches! As always, travel bugs, questions, and stories are all welcome too.
