Questa cache e la sua compagna Angers-Pisa (twin cache) nascono per onorare il gemellaggio tra le città di Pisa ed Angers.
This cache and its sister Angers-Pisa (twin cache) were created to honor the town-twinning between Pisa and Angers.
Angers, con i suoi 158.000 abitanti è la diciassettesima città francese ed è situata nel cuore dell’Europa, a un’ora e mezzi da Parigi e a meno di quattro ore da Bruxelles. Capoluogo del dipartimento “Maine-et-Loire” e capitale storica dell’area angioina, la città appartiene alla regione “Pays de la Loire”. Angers è un importante centro turistico lungo il percorso dei Castelli della Loira, al centro dell’omonima vallata che si fregia del riconoscimento di patrimonio mondiale dell’umanità dall'UNESCO. Le città di pisa ed Angers sono gemellate dal 1982, grazie alla cooperazione tra le due università. La particolarità di questo gemellaggio risiede nello scambio annuale di due "ambasciatori" che lavorano allo sviluppo delle relazioni tra le due città e partecipano alla diffusione della cultura e dell'economia locali.

Angers is the 17th French city, totalling 158.000 inhabitants. It is located in the heart of Europe, one and a half hours away from Paris and less then four hours from Bruxelles. It is the chef-lieu of the "Maine-et-Loire" department and the historical capital of Anjou and it now belongs to the "Pays de la Loire" region. Angers is an important turist centre along the route of the châteaux of the Loire, in the middle of the namesake valley awarded as a UNESCO World Heritage. Pisa and Angers are sister towns since 1982, thanks to the collaboration between their universities. The peculiarity of this city-twinning is the annual exchange of two "ambassadors" working on the development of the relationship between the two cities and taking part in the diffusion of the local culture and economy.
