Where: We will meet at the published coordinates for 1000hrs. If however you would like some company on the way up I will be leaving WP1 at 0930hrs.
What: Continuing from last year and Evil Edna's events we will be using saws and loppers to coppice Wolfleaze wood. The idea of the project is to continue coppice rotation in the area. This will provide a sustainable source of timber for management practices on the hill and on other sites; including stakes and binders for hedgelaying. The coppice habitat also provides greater habitat diversity for nesting birds and small mammals.
How: Felicity the Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance and any necessary tools and gloves, but bring your own if you prefer.
