Vor Frue Kirke ligger i udkanten af det gamle befæstede Vordingborg. Kirkeengen, ned måd ruinen, og præstegårdshaven vest for kirken har været en del af voldgraven omkring byen.
Den ældste del af kirken stammer tilbage fra 1432. Den har været udbygget i løbet af tiden og tårnet kom fx til omkring år 1600. Den ældste klokke er helt tilbage fra 1465.
Der er kalkmalerier tilbage fra 1460'erne der har overlevet på dele af loftet.
Vor Frue Kirke, Our Lady's Church lies on the outskirts of the old fortified town of Vordingborg. The church meadow, the field beneath the church, and the vicaragegarden, on the western side of the church, are part of the old moat around the town.
The oldes part of the church stems from 1432. The church has been extended through the years and the tower was build around 1600. The oldest bell in the tower is from 1465.
There are some chalk paintings that has survived on the ceiling and these dates from around 1460.
