In the center of this small park stands a tall tulip tree (liriodendron tulipifera) that was planted here in 1778 by William Ellery, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Unfortunately over the years the tree contracted a disease and has since died, although it still remains standing. May we remember the tulip tree which once stood here for many years!
Seasoned veterans should known there have been a few caches in this small park over the years, but none were fastened in the manner this one is. This new cache gives reason to return to the park anyway, so hope you enjoy.
