LEMON TROUGH
This watering trough is 30 meters long and has two pipes at its front side. It is situated in a natural stream bed in the escarpment of the Alcores where plenty of water flows. The trough was constructed to water the cattle that were heading to the Feria of Carmona, an annual event where farmers could sell their cattle. Formerly it was celebrated in April, today it has been transformed into a popular festivity which takes place in May. There is a memorial stone to commemorate its construction (1877) by the town hall. You arrive at the trough by following the path to El Viso and passing by the anise factory that is situated nearby the Brenes brook.
