OPTION #1 - Virginia Peninsula Association of Realtors Parking Lot Tree Line
This offered a great location just inside the tree line, behind the VPAR parking lot. In fact, not far from here are some of the "Pink Ribbon" geo-art hides. This location could host any size container from a very evil nano to an extra large. Yet, I was yearning for something just a bit more interesting. Something that would burn a memory into the minds of the geocachers who put forth the effort to find the cache.

OPTION #2 - Pine Cone Harbour Condominiums' Dock
At the very end of the dock at Pine Cone Harbour condominiums existed a spectacular location for a geocache. Overlooking the Hampton River, this would have been a neat place for cachers to visit. Likely this would have needed to be a nano or a micro in size. However, if some craftsmanship was exercised, a small sized container might have been possible. Decided against this location due to it being on private property. Access would have been very difficult for cachers to achieve.

OPTION #3 - Lakefront Plaza Parking Lot Tree Line
Not long ago, this area, just off Enterprise Parkway, was the location of the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets geo-art. The final was located just southeast of this parking lot in Lakefront Plaza. The woods behind the parking lot of the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce would be a perfect location for anything from a bison tube to a large container. An excellent option! However, decided against it as I was searching for a more unique location which offers more of a challenge when it comes to the terrain rating.

OPTION #4 - Grandview Nature Preserve
What an absolutely beautiful location! The Grandview Nature Preserve is one of the most stunning locations for geocaches in the City of Hampton. The terrain rating of the hike needed to get here would have been moderate to high. And, the size of the possible container could be anything from a micro to a large. However, I decided not to place the cache here as there are others in this location (which are OUTSTANDING).

Once I had chance to mull over the four locations, I eventually had a good idea as to where, precisely, to place this geocache:
Option #1 - No!
Option #2 - No!
Option #3 - No!
Option #4 - No!
Option #4.5 - BINGO!!!
Now that is an interesting spot. Something off the beaten path. A unique trek for the adventure seekers (without the required use of a boat or a tree climb). Here's to a fun, safe, and enjoyable hunt!

First-to-Find earns an unactivated geocoin and scuba-style bison container.
Congratulations X11fitter and chjbundr on being the First to Find!
Persistence, ingenuity, commitment...Well-done!
