This event will be held on Tuesday 26 December 2017 from 3.00pm to 3.30pm in Priory Park, Great Malvern, in the shelters with benches on the east side of the lake. There will be a physical logbook available to sign, and a regular sized cache box for trackables. My owl and penguin button swaps will also be freely available as souvenirs. All welcome, whether you're on your way home after a hard day's caching or have just dragged yourself away from the telly for half an hour. Canine cachers are also welcome in the park but their humans should bear in mind there are ducks and water here. The park has children's play equipment for mini-cachers.
Parking: a large pay car park can be found in Priory Road opposite Malvern Splash (waypoint, and website listed below). To access the park from Priory Road, walk towards the Malvern Splash building and through their pedestrian gates into the park. There are also two smaller pay car parks in Grange Road on either side of Malvern Theatres and both have paths into the park. There are public toilets in Grange Road, which should be open. The Great Malvern Hotel (with locally brewed real ale on tap) is the nearest pub, although there are more cafes and restaurants in Great Malvern which open on Boxing Day, even a Wetherspoons. (The nearest station is Great Malvern, and the bus route is First Bus's number 44, although I don't fancy your chances of public transport on Boxing Day Bank Holiday so check before travelling.)
Trackables: there will be a regular sized cache container for trackable exchange. If you're planning on bringing a larger trackable then please be prepared to take it home with you again if you haven't made firm arrangements for another cacher to retrieve it.
FTF: for those who play this unofficial additional side game there will be a draw for first to find from names signed into the physical event logbook and I will announce the results in a log on the event webpage later in the day, so you might want to watch the page. The results are entirely unofficial but any event owner is inevitably first to find/attend their own event cache and in this case is willing to give away that honour in a randomised draw.
Disabled Access: the listed event site is fully wheelchair and mobility scooter accessible but the shelters have one low step up.
