January Sales or Geocaching Event? Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Darlynne57: I have archived the event for a few weeks for cachers to log that they have attended and have retrieved the 5 outstanding trackables.

Someone must have taken then, as they were not left!

Geocache Description:

Have you had to make the decision whether to go shopping or geocaching? And you've gone shopping! Now's your change to rectify that. Come to Bourne on 28th January 2018 and joins other Geocachers for a sociable afternoon. You can take part of the celebration by hosting or attending an event on Friday, January 26 through Sunday, January 28, 2018 to earn the Australia Day 2018 souvenir.”*

This will be the 5th annual event at this venue. The previous years have been quite successful and hopefully the same this year. Bourne is town on the A15 situated between Peterborough and Sleaford. The town has some multies, puzzles, and traditional caches with interesting containers. There are quite a few series within 20 mile radius. There will be a FTF for the event. Cards will be provided for you to sign to enter. There will be activies for young and old geocachers and maybe the obligatory Mingle Bingo. The venue in the Jubilee Garage on North Street http//:www.jubileegaragebourene.com/ which is an interesting venue in itself. They serve food from 12 to 5. The menu is on their website. The venue has let me use upsatirs for the event, but will also let us eat downstairs too. Each year the numbers attending has increased. In previous years there have been between 50 and 70 attendees, although they came and went throughout the afternoon. There are caches and multies within walking distance of the venue. There is parking at the Wellhead Car Park and at the Coop Car Park near the Corn Exchange/Library. Or you may be lucky and find a space on the main road as its a sunday.
