Geocache Description:

Laurel has a large and beautiful collection of Native American baskets in its museum, which is the location of a yearly celebration of Choctaw tribe culture and heritage. This tribe and others have lived in and around Laurel for thousands of years. Although eventually displaced, for a time Native Americans existed peacefully with Laurel settlers. The Choctaws periodically erected their pine bark tents among the pioneers and carried on their daily activities.

Hunt for the cache in the beautiful, lush, garden, and then, if you have time, check out the collection of Native American baskets and artifacts inside.
